Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the MeloNote app and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
MeloNote provides local and optional cloud features for tasks, reminders, expenses, notes, journals, groups, important dates, voice transcription, and an optional AI assistant. Features can change as the Service is improved.
2. Accounts and Content
- Many local features work without an account. Sign-in is required for cloud sync, groups, subscriptions, and some AI features.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and device secure.
- You keep ownership of content you create. You give MeloNote permission to store, transmit, and process that content only as needed to provide the features you request, including sync, group sharing, subscription access, and AI processing.
- Do not upload or share content that is unlawful, infringes another person's rights, or puts another person at risk.
3. AI and Voice Features
Voice transcription, parsing, journal polish, and the assistant may use third-party AI providers. MeloNote will show the relevant disclosure and request consent before sending data for those features. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate; review it before relying on it.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- Premium products, prices, billing periods, and any trial terms are shown in the purchase screen before you confirm.
- Payment is charged by the relevant App Store or Google Play account. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew unless canceled in the store settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription at Apple subscriptions or a Google subscription in Google Play.
- Refund requests are handled by the relevant store, including Apple's report a problem page.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service for illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
- Do not attempt to bypass quotas, subscription checks, authentication, or security controls.
- Do not reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or another user's content.
6. Availability and Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that every feature will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device. MeloNote is a productivity and record-keeping tool, not financial, medical, legal, or emergency advice.
7. Intellectual Property
MeloNote's software, design, trademarks, and original content belong to MeloNote or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service.
8. Termination and Deletion
You may stop using the Service and delete your account from Profile > Account > Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes associated cloud records subject to limited legal or security retention. We may suspend access when necessary to protect the Service or address a violation of these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms when the Service or applicable requirements change. The updated date will appear above. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
