Delete Account
Lighter lets you delete your account and related server-side data directly in the app or by contacting us.
Delete in the App (Recommended)
Open Profile > Account > Delete Account in Lighter and confirm. This permanently deletes your account and the server-side data we hold for it. The action cannot be undone.
Request by Email
If you can no longer sign in, email us and include the account email or sign-in method (Google / Apple / email) used in the app.

Data That Will Be Deleted
- Account profile and sign-in information
- Membership entitlement and transaction records stored on our servers
- Related support and service data where deletion is legally permitted
Your fasting, weight, water, meal, and activity records are stored only on your device. Deleting your account does not remove local records; clear them from Profile > Data or delete the app to remove them.
Subscriptions
Deleting your Lighter account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by the app store you bought from, so you must cancel there to stop future charges:
- App Store: iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions
- Google Play: Play Store app > Menu > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
